Question:

Naturalization Oath Ceremony?

I have my Naturalization Oath Ceremony next Tuesday, it is in an enclosed location, not sure how many people but I know I am not the only one for the day/time. My family wants to go also (6 adults), but I am not sure if they can get in. I asked the USCIS and they told me you can only bring 1 guest. I don't know how true is this.... I called the location and they told me as much as you want, since it wasn't specified in the notification letter.

Any one has any ideas????

  1. Depends on the size of the court room or swearing-in location, but I think it's fine to bring your family along.  If for some reason, not all are permitted to enter the actual closed room, there should be a closed-circuit TV so they can see all the proceedings from right outside.   Then they can immediately join you for food, coffee and goodies following the ceremony.

Bring them along!  It's a wonderful ceremony.
