Nature of attraction?

why is it that most people I know thats very attractive tends to be around other people thats very attractive. Even their ex's were very attractive. Another thing I've noticed that the more attractive a person are the worser their attitude and personality is! I'm talkin in general here...but not everyone thats attractive is like this!

I've seen many ugly people who were mean and attractive people who were nice.

plus you can't judge a person's character with one encounter.
