Question:

Nauseous all the time, especially after eating?

For the past few months, I've been getting moderate-severe nausea, especially at night. I thought that it was just anxiety about going to a new school, but now I've adjusted pretty well and the nausea is still there. My doctor put me on Zoloft for the anxiety, and it's helped a little I guess, but not much.

It gets really bad at night and whenever I eat something. The thing is, when I don't eat I get nauseous - then I feel better for about 10 seconds after/during eating and then I get nauseous for hours. It's horrible...does anyone have any idea about what might be wrong with me?

Thank you so much!

  1. Your doctor should test you for the following conditions:

    1) Hypochlorhydria

    2) Celiac Disease

    3) Food allergies/intolerances

    4) Gall-bladder dysfunction

    5) etc, etc.

It may be wise to find a doctor that will work with you to find and fix the CAUSE of your symptoms, rather than trying to mask your symptoms with dangerous drugs.

    Best wishes and good luck.

  2. I have the same problem and went to the doctor.  They tested me for everything under the sun.  Eventually they told me that I have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).  Stress makes it worse and if I ingest too much fat that also makes it worse. You are right it is horrible.  I have also noticed that if I am even just a little constipated I will become nauseated.

I have found that the following has helped a little (you can buy it at Walgreen's or sometimes Walmart):

Digestive Advantage - Irritable Bowel Syndrome capsules

    Good luck to you!
