  1. 1. yes, it is completely free.

    2. go to any local recruiting office or call one if you are not near one.

    3. You have to be 18 or 17 with parent's consent.

    4. no specific height requirement, but you have to be under 22% body fat. There are waivers available for this and you can always lose weight.

    5. You just need to graduate high school. They don't really look at your grades since your knowledge will be evaluated via ASVAB testing.

    6. You have to be physically capable. You can not have asthma, ADD, etc.  If you can run, jump, swim, and lift 50lbs, you are probably qualified.

You can join for 3-6 years. I would recommend the longer. The more you are willing to commit to the Navy, the more they will be willing to invest in you with training.

  2. 1:.  NOTHING in life is free.  you will be paying for it in time, effort and service.  also you will be required to pay out of pocket for items such as uniforms..the enlisted uniform allowance does NOT cover all the expenses.

2: you start with your local recruiter.   you can find the office in the blue pages of the phone book or  go online and google Navy Recruiting.

3: 17 with a HS diploma and parents permission.  otherwise, 18.

    4. H/w standards are easily found online and are based on age and gender.

5: your HS GPA means diddly.  your ASVAB score is what determines what ratings you are eligible for.

6: meet all the requirements for enlistment.

7: all contracts are for EIGHT years.   as little as 4 and as many as six will be on Active duty.  How long is dependent on what rating you choose.
