Navy Riverine Forces?

I hear the Navy is bringing back the brown water navy used in Vietnam. Is that true. Also how do officers get a spot on that, Whats the best route?

Yes it's true, and there are already 2 squadrons that have deployed, or are deployed to Iraq.  Talk to your detailer to see if there is space.  When the announcement went out for volunteers the detailers were innundated with requests.

go on youtube.com and type in "riverine squadron". a bunch of new videos will pop up. i know an AO2 who is on a riverine squadron right now. if you're military, email me and i can get your info and give it to him.

they need to get more marines on those patrols. we're amphibious monsters!!!  oorah!
