Is there a shortage of SEAL medics in the teams?

  2. The S.E.A.L. teams are like any other specialized unit in that they are ALWAYS, ALWAYS in the market for top quality applicants. They don't wait until there is a need before recruiting and they will not lower their standards to fill positions. If you are interested in the unit, give it a shot.  

  3. Not at all, more then half the guys who enlist with an SO rating ultimately want to become a SEAL combat medic. The surplus is so large, that even if a Sailor was HM before going SEAL, there is no guarantee that he will become a Corpsman in the Teams, the top guys out of BUD/S will be selected to continue to 18D school and become the platoon corpsman.
