When my husband and I first got moved from MA to CA they gave us 3,498 dollars...They then had us moving again back from CA to MA and now have only given us 2,788. They first tried to give us only 1,839 and said that I didn't submit my paper work saying I drove with a dependent, then the guy checked my paperwork and saw that I had attached my page 2 etc and then gave us another (only) 735 dollars?

I know they give you a certain amount per mile and then also a certain amount per day. It took us 8 days and it was 3050 miles (we drove our own car). Does anyone know the amount per a mile and amount per a day they are suppose to give?

Thank you for your help!

  1. I don't know off hand, but you can always call your admin section and ask them which references cover it, and which things you are entitled to.  You rate an explanation of how they calculated your reimbursement.  Make them explain it to you and show you how they did their math.  You may find they forgot to carry a 1 somewhere.  The travel rates have increased over the last few years due to the increase in gas prices.  You could also get more if you kept your gas, toll, etc. receipts.
