Navy seals do not wear body armor correct?

Question

If im correct navy seals do not use body armor? why is this? Is it because Its not needed for there job becasue there more stealty thats my guess? I kind of like it better without big as plates

I've never heard of this, but if it's true, it's probably because body armor makes it impossible to swim.

But I'm sure they wear it when on land operations at least.

They wear it and if it is a water op you just have floatation for it and use a rig designed for doing things in and around the water, most of the ops are on land now though so yes, they always wear body armor.

Like all seal equipment, they use it as needed depending on the mission. If swimming is required, they do not wear it then. They may carry it and put it on later.
