  1. With most applications of communism people only get what they need, they work to the best of their ability, and capital gains (such as on investments and even just plain hard work) are looked upon as a sort of evil, capitalist invention.

Fascism was less about the people and more about the state. Italian fascism allowed private property and private business, but only with the condition that if the state thinks it needs to be run more for the benefit of the state, the business or land owner had to comply. An example would be if a person owned a plot of land and raised sheep on it, the government could come in and say that in order to employ more people, the landowner must now grow a crop instead of raising animals.

Nazism was, in the most basic of forms, fascism with a racist-twist. Nazism still celebrated the state, but put a heavy emphasis on a chosen race.

    Hope this helps!

  2. While you're at it, look up Imperialism and Oligarchy, too.

BTW:  Obama was an *active* member of both the Socialist and Communist parties when he was a resident of Hawaii and Illinois.

  3. Only minimally, and in pure technicalities and labels - realistically speaking, of course, not taking into consideration the proclaimed noble ideals that none of the three ever intended to strive for. Simply put, they're all totalitarian regimes favoring one social group over others and perfectly happy to use genocide to support their control over everything.

  4. Communism - everyone in a country is equal (except for Russian communism, that's where some people are created more equally than others)

Facism - "denies all rights to individuals in their relations with the state"

Nazism - modeled after Facism, everyone is loyal to one (similar to a monarchy).

  5. http://www.wikipedia.org does a great job of explaining all three in detail.
