I can't believe they are just gonna let him walk away.... to the Rangers...... ugh. And Linden's retired (think he could have picked a better season to go out on) and now they want to make Sundin the highest paid forward in the NHL??? Am I the only one that seems to be "confused" by this? Since when did the game become all about the money........

  1. Uh, well the lockout a couple years back may have been one of the biggest signs that it was all about the money. I honestly believe every one is confused by the Canucks tactics this year.


  2. Candy - you'll get over it... He was another one they made a demi God out of..  Same as Bertuzzi... he was another  "floater"..  Have you noticed, no one has picked him up yet off of UFA.....

    Do you recall Naslund a couple of years ago literally PROMISING that the Canucks would win......?   Did they...?

    Hockey has been all about money ever since the players union came into being...

    True prior to, management OWNED the players and told THEM what to do and what they COULDN'T do.. Now it's the tail wagging the dog situation..

  6. Not surprised. His performance has dropped off the last 2 years. He went from about 50 goals a season to 30...

    It is not only about money for everyone, Sundin proved that by walking away from being the highest paid player in the NHL (far from where his performance ranks him)... and Hossa did the same, signing for reduced pay to be able to play for Detroit.
