Nba SUPERSTAR with the worst defense?

Which nba superstar do you think has the worst defense. My vote goes to Amare Stoudemire. Sometimes it seem that he refuses to play defense, he's always looking for fast break so he can score. Carmelo is a close second

Its gotta be Melo. Look at him, playing forward for the Nuggets and he has barely any rebounds. Dont even mention steals.

The worst defensive superstar currently playing would have to be Nash. He really does give an effort and you can see it. But for all that it's worth, the eyes in the back of his head don't add any to the fact that he's slower and weaker than most point guards. And being slower, weaker, and not particularly athletic is a very bad combination.

Carmelo is a close second like you said. He's a conundrum, I don't understand why a guy of his size and athletic ability cannot play D. He doesn't go for blocks or steals, but just shuffles his feet around. But despite how lackluster he looks, his defense is the average defense in the league because he doesn't give up baskets easily like Nash.

Amare does lack motivation, and is more of an athletic-minded big man rather than team-oriented.

Dirk Nowitski is an absolute klutz on defense. He's too flat-footed, and has the same problem as Nash. He more often than not gets in the way of his teammates' defensive plays.

Gotta go w/ Nash and Carmelo, they both seem to do good on the offensive side but their D is a different story. Carmelo is not a close second he is the number 1 worst defender in the NBA, w/ his size he should be able to play D but he is just mentally challenged when it comes to defending a person.

gotta be carmelo b/c he plays absolutely no defense. not saying he can't, just saying he won't and doesn't care.  i saw the nike commercials where he was putting all his energy into his offense and when i watch him it's apparent.  now my question is this, to be a lil chunky melo, you move sooooo quick when you've got the ball around the hole, but if you're on the defensive end, you're a fat boy again?!  look at the series vs l.a. when he got done by everybody on the defensive end and in turn it affected his offensive game.  i think a close second is carlos boozer.  no one ever talks about this guy, but watch him actually play, he can body you and box out but as for moving his feet......garbage.    he rebounds very well but gets eaten alive by the opposing power forward.  just because you can box out, doesn't mean you can defend.  look at his shot-block stats, he's butt.  look at how much he was subbed out in the last game/series they played in the playoffs this  year.  that young guy millsap got more p.t. than him their last game.

Amare is one heck of a defender yes he lacks energy but heis still one of the top defenders, I'm a tmac fan and he barely plays any defense, steve nash also play NO DEFENSE

Somebody mentioned Kobe, but Kobe doesn't play bad defense.  You see, he stops himself in crucial games, so he's a pretty good defender.

gotta be carmelo anthony. you would also have to seriously consider arenas too. was it any coincidence that once arenas got hurt, the ball moved around much better and the overall defense was better?
