  1. will power is the only way

  2. Get some fire runnin in the fireplace, throw ALL your cigarettes in, sit down and watch.

Then, never buy cigs again. I can't really stop you from buying them though.

  3. Smoking is more of a psychological addiction than a physical one. If you really want to quit you must discover the reasons why you smoke and then eliminate or change these thought processes.

Once you deal with the psychological side of smoking it makes the quitting process easy, no matter your level of addiction.

Quitting smoking does not require any patches, gums, hypnosis or anything like that. These methods are expensive, time consuming and simply do not work. All that is required is a bit of motivation, self belief and determination.

  4. Drink lots of cold water. It'll help flush your system out.  You can get some lobelia extract and add it to your tea.  Follow the directions. For some reason it helps with cravings. Get lots of sleep and eat right.  Your body will detox and you'll feel the effects.  I was tired a LOT, and super crabby.  I had insomnia too.  You can take Benadryl or melatonin to get your sleep on schedule.   You can also go to a site like quitnet.com.  They helped me a lot.  The bottom line is that you have to want to stay quit more than you want to smoke.

  5. everytime u want a ciggarrette..take a plain straw..hold it between the 2 fingers and inhale and exhale....it helped my aunt quit smoking..if that dont work..get TONS of suckers..everytime u want a ciggarrette..suck on a sucker..it helped my step brother quit...u could try some of that niccorette gum stuff too. along with the straw if needed. good luck. and congrats on the decision to stop smoking :)
