NeW YoRk SURFING CAMPS??!!?!?

Question

I'm looking for a surfing day camp in new york preferably in long island for the week of june 23-27. I tried google and cant find anything good, anyone know where i can surf or have ideas of how i can find a surf camp????

Long Island is a pretty big place (okay, its only 120 miles long, but thats pretty far with rising gas prices).

In Wainscott, there is a kids camp (I presume you're looking for a kids camp) run by Main Beach Surf and Sport (www.mainbeach.com). They do surfing, wakeboarding and mountain biking; its a really good surf shop and a really good camp.

Short of that, the best thing to do is go to your local surf shop, they will probably have all the info on camps close by. If you can't find a camp, most surf shops offer private lessons which are not very expensive, and it is probably the best alternative. And, when its time for your first board, they can help you choose the right board for your skill level and the local breaks.

I've lived in Montauk almost my entire life (all 19 years of it at least) and am pretty familiar with the whole of Long Island, so if you can be a little more specific (i.e. what town) I can reccomend a good shop or I may know someone who would know of any camps close by.

My hubby surfs at Long Beach with a small group...if you tell me where in Long Island you are thinking I can give you the info...take care
