i was riding a bike near a park but i wasnt allowed 2 because it had a no cyclying sign which i enver noticed. so a retired policemen with a dog comes and stops me. he screams at me ( shows the badge) sets his dog at me keeps telling me to come. rhought he was a perv but saw badge was like what in ammry popping poppies is flipin goin on. he just shouts at me? tells me 2 come im alergic 2 dogs ? like proper allergic / have phobia againt dogs. so then i go he says i can get fined so much wos about 2 fine me ? wTF?

i apologised kept saying sorry. i rlly honestly dnt know.

am i too polite?

i mean i aint a siiy. i listen 2 rap/ fort minor, linkin park ect. but shud i change. mayb i need 2 b mor a man.?

i had gr8 respect for policemen but this old man's ruined it.

Badge or not he sounds a bit pervy to me...I mean he is retired...no power of arrest now! Go with your instincts always.

Don't let this get you down. I know plenty of decent police men.

If it wasn't your fault and he still shouted at you then it isn't your fault, you do not need to change anything.

You could report the man but you would be wasting your time as nothing would happen. He was talking c**p, you could not have gotten arrested let alone fined. At the very worst you would have got an unofficial warning but if you were apologetic they would have done nothing.

There are just some pricks out there and it seems this guy just likes to shove his weight around.

Don't take anything he said personally and if you see him again and he comes near you say that if he comes near you with the dog you will call the police. If he is retired he has NO power over you. Just a stupid old man.

You were riding your bike in a no cycling zone? You should be dragged off to jail buddy! I think you did the right thing. He was an old man who is possibly/probably not in his right mind. I don't think another cop would even look twice at you. You may feel you were too polite but I think you were respectful. A lot of other people would have given him attitude big time. Put it out of your mind.

PS what in ammry popping poppies? that is so funny, I've never heard it before...I'm biting it.

He sounds like a right jobs worth - but he was retired so s***w him, everyone makes mistakes. Next time get off the bike before you get to the park and all will be cool. Or better yet go a different way.
