  1. It may be all about your posture when you are running.

Are you clenching yout fists which in turn raises your shoulders making them tight, your neck stiff causing you to clench your jaw and strain your shouldrs and neck muscles.

  2. you maybe be running stiff and tense. make sure you don't have any tension in your shoulders and arms. Run with your arms loose.

  3. I'm a runner for my high school track team and muscle cramping happens often with our team...

just make sure that you roll your neck and stretch it out really well before you run...even if you're not usually a stretching-person. Also, as a tip, be sure to set a limit of what you're eating and when you're eating before you run...my limit to eating stops and 4 hours before i run, and i don't drink cokes or eat alot of junk food the day before i run...it improves your performance and stops chest pains and cramps!
