Neck pain top of spine HELP? ?

Question

last week i was swimming in my pool and i was playing with my cousions who could dive into a water tube (circle Tubes)

i dove and my head landing on the tube first and i heard cracks or something move out of place. Since that day my back neck where the top spine hurts alot what do i do?

i hurt my neck 2 years ago from playing baseball when i got hit on the neck by a baseball and some man massaged me and it was ok after should i try that again?

You probably need a good chiropractor.  The problem is finding a good one in your area.  They will take x-rays and twist your head on back straight.  I have had this happen to me and they can fix it in one visit if they know what they are doing.  A bad one can hurt you or just do "adjustments" and charge you for coming 6 times.  

Or you can go the direction of a regular doctor that will probably go the direction of muscel relaxants and anti-inflamitory drugs.  

If you have a sports medicine doc in your area then go to them if you can't find a good chiro.  I go to the guy for the IU teams for most things.  

The neck thing I go to a good chiro.  This has happened to me twice in the last 20 years, they grab your head give it a quick twist.  Sounds like they slammed your head down on a bag of potatoe chips.  Creepy but effectively reversing what you did in the first place.  The x-ray part is important first to make sure there is no damage to the discs.  You can tell if this is the problem if you can turn your head one way but is more painful to turn it the other..

I am the head of our church's youth outreach program. I have to play basketball a lot with the kids, but I'm not as young as they are, and it's hard on my body. I've got tendonitis in my knees, and if you've ever tried playing basketball with bad knees, you know what pain is about. I used to take the usual pain relievers, but ! This is different from the baseball trauma;  it is cervical vertebral compression and a possible displacement or herniation of a disc.

Massage not recommended till you knopw the position of things.

You need a legitimate exam, some X-rays and a plan!
