Following an overflow of defenders at City, the player was loaned out to Sunderland, where he spent a season playing in the first team. The player went on to have a highly impressive stay with the Black Cats and as a result, he is hopeful over the possibility
to play as a City regular. At the moment, it is being rumoured that the defender is up for crunch talks with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323, once he returns from the United Sates.
When talking about his future and his desire to play for City, Onuoha is quoted to have said: "I'd love to stay and fight and, until someone tells me to jog on, then I'll keep trying.
"It's a case of coming in, training hard and getting ready for any games that we have.
"As far as I'm concerned, I'm going to keep going through pre-season.”

Onuoha, is one of the most complete defenders in the league at the moment. The defender has good pace, the ability to read play and make crucial interceptions. At the same time, he has shown his desire to get up often and looking at the goals he has scored
over his career, he has the composure to help his team out in all departments.
At the moment Onuoha has three years left on his contract with City. However, considering there isn’t any space for him of the squad, he is being favoured to leave the team before the start of the season. The likes of Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 and
Sunderland are being hailed as the favourites to land the player at the moment.
Nonetheless, should Onuoha manage to strike up a deal with Mancini, then he might just end up staying at the Eastlands for another season.
