Nee help with Ipods...?

Question

If you buy a new battery for an ipod, and you place the new battery inside the ipod, do all of your songs on the ipod have to be deleted? (All of my songs are not saved on my computer, a lot are not, so if I had to delete them I would loose over half my songs).

No, the songs aren't saved on the battery, but I would go to an Apple store for them to change the battery.
