Me and my fiance live in TX and are planning our honeymoon (on a budget, maybe $3k total to spend, including airfare) in April and I need to know the following:

1. We are considering the Sandals resort, which resort is the best (i.e. room, food, overall srvc, nightlife, etc), on our budget?

2. Is the weather bad that time of year in the Carribean, and if so, where else is a nice warm place to visit that is all-inclusive?

3. If you dont like the Carribean, where would you recommend thats nice?

Backgrd on us: We are both 30, love to have fun (i.e. dance & games), and trying new things. We are open to going almost anywhere romantic (as long as we can afford it) where we can enjoy each other.

Thanks in advance for all your help!!!

  1. my best place to go for fun, is egypt

red sea riviera, beautiful weather starts right on time not to be burned on the sharm el shekh's hotels&resorts beach(topless is not allowed)

    sun,snorkeling,diving,arabian nights,narghile(huble-buble,they call it),casino,disco,everything is available

it's far from you,but if you ever have time,go for it!

  2. contact a travel agent, they will have all your answers

  3. More details are needed.

Does that $3k budget include airfare (because the Sandals "all-inclusive" doesn't include airfare -- it includes everything once you GET there)?

How many days do you plan on spending there?

You need to decide which one you're going to (there are several and in several different places like Jamaica, the Bahamas, St. Lucia and Antigua).

  4. I think the perfect place for u guys would be the Sandals resort at pidgeon point in St Lucia. They have their own private beach and lots of things to do, like watersports. Also, on Friday nights there is the Gros-Islet jump-up, which is a street party playing reggae and dancehall. There are vendors at the roadside and everyone has a really great time dancing the night away in the street til the early hours. They also have horse-riding in Gros-Islet, and an aerial tram which tours the rainforest. I think there are sulphur springs in the south by Soufriere too. The capital is Castries and they have a great market selling fruit, veg, fish etc, and a food hall selling the yummiest traditional creole food u can find. It's not overpriced there, i think u get about 3 EC (Eastern Caribbean dollars) to your US dollar, but double-check on www.xe.com/ucc  So good luck!

Oh, and the weather will be on your side as rainy season/hurricane season in the caribbean runs from May to November, August being the worst month to go.

  5. How long of a honeymoon are you planning?

If you go after the rates drop in April, you can have a nice vacation and honeymoon. The weather should be on your side all over the Caribbean and Mexico.

All the Sandals properties are expensive for a week and doesn't include the airfare. Maybe you can do 5 days at Sandals. If you decide on Sandals, the best one would be what your budget will allow you to book.

I would check out the Riviera Maya area in Mexico. You can get a nice all-inclusive resort with air with your budget for a week. You are located in Texas, you should be able to get some decent airfare .

I would check these sites for prices and packages. I have found if I book a package together the prices are cheaper.

I would also go to your local travel agency. They have contracts with resorts and airlines and sometimes it's cheaper to book a trip with them. I always do well with a travel agency. Besides it's your honeymoon, they may score you some additional benefits.

    Enjoy and congrats)
