What's a good snack and pre-workout meal for gaining muscle mass?

    and u should also take glutamine, thats not a snack though.. but u need it


  2. gaining mass u want a high cal snack a big protein bar they have ones with like 32g protein 30g carb and 7-10g fat out there if u dont want that then a smaller protein bar like i have w/ a tbsp of natural peanut butter they are called pure protein barsu can get at a target if u got one near u whey protein shakes like the powder w/ yogurt a banana and milk or w/e u like in it look up recipes online there are some goood ones u can buy double protein bread and make a natural peanut butter sandwich on it nuts are great to have with milk :) another i like is special k protein plus ceral with a banana and milk it's good first thing in the morning or post workout if u want its simple carbs so thats why i say that but  each serving is 100cals 10g protein 14g carbs 3g fat not badd! thats just some ideas--Joe

    Preworkout:  Ideally needs to be whey protein and complex or natural carbs (low to moderate glycemic index)

    ~20g whey protein

    ~40g slow burning carbs

    You have to be very careful with the protein bars as many of these are nothing more than candy bars with protein in disguise.  If you decide to look at these, pay close attention to the types of fats and carbs that are included.
