  1. Writers Market

  2. I'd read Stephen King's book On Writing if I were you.  It's full of helpful stuff and let's face it, he was the most successful writer in the world until J K Rowling came along, so it's hard to say that he doesn't know what he's talking about

  3. I love when these questions come around, so then I can give somebody sound (or at least I hope) advice on the craft of writing. I will try and keep this very short and equally sweet because we all have things to do don't we? First of all, whether or not you choose to ask this question is entirely up to you. Are you a talented writer or are you just someone who wrote a good piece of writing one day and somebody gave you a good critique and now you want to become John Grisham?

It's a valid question isn't it? There are many people out there who call themselves writers and can't write their way out of a paper bag. For your sake I hope that you aren't one of those folks. If you can truly write, then hats off to you, you have what a lot of people wish they did: the ability to put words in a line and make them sound cohesive. make sure you keep it tight if that's what you are; meaning practice everyday, don't give into writer's block which there is no doubt whatsoever you will acquire. read everything you can get your hands on even if it's galactic garbage, read it anyway. Also i have a suggestion that you learn to keep a journal; those things are very handy when you are learning the craft.

But that's going to be all for now seeing as how, I already spent too much time on my answer than i originally expected.

But I want to wish you good luck on pursuing your goal, and never give up because when the finished product is wrapped, then you will be proud of yourself.

  4. Reading novels is my hobby too. This is my favorite pass time.

http://www.ed2go.com/coursegroup/writer3... has online courses for writing fiction. You can try taking these courses. That will definitely help you.
