Need AFL dream team captain help for round 19!

Question

i am trying to pick between joel corey and gary ablett jr as my captain.

any ideas?

and please tell me why.

I would go Ablett

He might note spend much tiem in the middle but 1st game back I reckon 23-25possesions and 3 or 4 goals

It is a bit of a toss up, I was tempted to use Ablett but went for Buddy. Ablett might take it easy a bit on his first game back, and Bomber might even rest him a bit. As for Corey, haven't really got any info on him, but if he has been scoring consistently well he may be the better choice. Look for who the opposition have on them, that might show who may get shut down.

Go easy with the Geelong boys, there will be plenty of interchange action tonight and I expect all the stars to have spend plenty of time on the pine!! Look to the games that mean something, like Stk v Coll or Foots v North for your skipper

**That's a tough one if you're tossing up between Corey and Ablett Jnr.  

I think I'd be leaning more towards Joel Corey simply because he's been in the game for a few more years and is an underrated player.  He's a great leader on the field and gets 30+ possessions every week.

Take nothing away from Gary Ablett Jnr though.  I love him and would dearly love to see him win the Brownlow Medal and while he gets heaps of possessions every week and brings players into the play etc, I just think that Joel Corey would be that bit better of a leader.

Not ablet coz he's just come back from injury so he's not gona perform so good and he will also get the number one tagger lynden dunn.

if you have bartel put him captain otherwise another geelong player like corey.

edit: oh also make sure u have a mid captain coz their consisetnt forward are so inconsistent......frankin = 50, 180, 70, 110 etc.

Garry Ablett is one of the best players in the competition by far right now and the most dominant yet courageous and good hearted players should be captain, Corey is a good player but he hasnt shown as much heart and domination on the field as ablett has, so go for good old ablett junior ; )

J Corey cos he is getting 40 disposals a game. Ablett is alright but he has gone down a notch since 5 rounds ago. They are both great players.

Maybe you should go for Corey, since it's only Ablett's first game back from injury. I'd wait until next week to select him.
