  1. first find pOH  by doing 14-pH

    gives you a pOH of 5, and the formula is pOH=-log[OH], so [OH]=10^-pOH, so [OH]=10^-5

    make it a good day

  2. pH is for H+ ions..but pOH is for OH- ions

    pH + pOH = 14

    pOH = 14 - 9 = 5

    pOH = - log [OH-]

    10^-5 = [OH-]

    hope tht helps :)
