Need Desperate Help With Contact Lenses!?

Question

I have had contacts for about 3 weeks now. Today, (Thursday,) I accidentally split my left contact lens. Aaaah!!

I need contacts for school, (otherwise I can't see the board!) I have school tomorrow, and I am sat near the back for every lesson!!

I'm on a watsimidoofus where you get the saline and lenses sent to you every month; and my first batch of lenses were supposed to come today; but they're delayed!! So I have no other lenses to wear.

So what do I do? I don't have any glasses, (I only have old ones that are rubbish, because they don't change my eyesight at all!)

Shall I just wear the right lens? Or will that damage my eyes?

And I can't even just miss a day off school, because last year I had a low attend percentage, so I can't take a day off this year.

SERIOUS HELP NEEDED!!

Well, as a sort of long term contacts user and fellow person with bad eyesight, there are a couple of options.

Firstly... calm down. It's not a very big deal.

Secondly... Yes, it would be fine for you to wear the right contact lens. It might feel a little weird at first, and you might feel off-balance, but you will be able to see out of that eye. It's probably not good as a long term solution, but for a for days you will be fine. Although I wouldn't learn them in the entire day, take them out when you get home... It's just not very comfortable wearing only one contact.

Thirdly... Can't you just move closer to the board? Explain the situation to your teacher, and I'm sure they'd be ok with it. Or... even better, just have a friend take notes for you or something. There's no need to skip school because you can't see what's going on. There's plenty of people who don't pay attention everyday who get along fine.
