Need Help Finding Giant Styrofoam Blocks?

Question

I want to build an outdoor chess set, one with life-size pieces. I plan on the pawns being anywhere from 2 1/2 - 3 ft tall, and a bit taller for the other pieces. Any idea on where I could find large styrofoam blocks?

I found some large styrofoam blocks in a large arts and crafts store. Not sure if they reached three feet tall, but you could always call ahead and ask.

Or try a theatrical supply shop. Don't know of any offhand, but you can Google it. I found: http://univfoam.com/products/sets_props

wish I knew... people used them under docks for floation...I guess Lowes if they still make them..
