Need Help On Overground services!!!?

i'll be going to sheffield hallam university in september and i have no idea how to get there by overground can anyone reccomend a service i live in north west london i think the nearest station is paddington but im not sure?

I don't advise going to Sheffield from Paddington - that station serves Wales and the West Country. You want the domestic side of St. Pancras International from where there regualr direct services to Sheffield. provided by East Midlands Trains. Don't forget to buy a 16-25 railcard to get discounts, nor to book your journeys in advance to get the best discounts. Best of luck with your studies!
