Not quite sure how to do this...

  1. Note your function don't look correct,

because  f(x)= (-3/2^x+1)-1 = (-3/2^x) .. the 1 inside braket will cancel with the -1 outside the braket.

Anyway, this functional is called logarithmic function. It has a curvy shape, you may use one of the two :

    Method -- A

let the function be  f(x)= (-3/2^x+1)

    To sketch by hands, find the value of f(x) at x =1 , x =2, x=3, find about 10 points .

This is found by just substituting the value of x in the equation, gives the value of f(x).

i 'll do you the first two steps then you complete:

    , at x=1, then f(x) = -3/2

      at x=2, then f(x) = -5/4

each couple makes one point on the graph.

When you find the 10 couples (points), just match the points and you will have the graph ready.

    Method -B

use a software like matlab or mathcad, you will have the curve with one click
