Need Help With Converting .avi format to .mp4 for ipod

Question

You see, I'm trying to convert my 700MB movie which I downloaded a few days ago to .mp4 format for my ipod. I've done the exact same thing a few months back and i had absolutely no problem. But this time I did the same thing but it didn't work. To be specific, I was able to convert the 700mb file to .mp4 but the file size became extremely small. It's only 44MB. The last time I converted the similar movie, the size was about 400mb. And I tried transferring the movie into my ipod but I was unable to, and when I tried opening the converted 44mb movie, I can only hear the sound. No pictures. I'm using Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate. Guys please help.

You should make sure the video is MP4 or H2.64 video for iPod. I like the DVD to iPod Converter Suite to rip DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPod. It is the fastest converter I have used. Also, the output quality is great. You can download this software free from here
