I Use Foundation Pretty Much Everyday For School..

But I've Started To Get Spots :( I Don't Like Not Wearing It As My Skin Is Quite Pale. But I've Been Using Clean & Clear Quick Clear Spot Treatment Gel. And It Says You Can Wear It On Top Or Underneath Make-up But It Doesn't Seem To Be Working. Does Anybody Have And Ideas Of Some Good Spot Treatment Gel Or Any Help With My Foundation?? x

  1. probably not to do with ur foundation at all

  2. Do you take it off every night? That might be your problem if you dont. Get a good cleanser and moisturiser and use them every morning and night aswell as the spot cream. If that doesn't work you could try using mineral makeup because it doesn't clog your pores and lets your skin breathe. Hope it works for you. X

  3. Try L'Oreal Bare Minerals foundation. It will not irritate your skin.

  4. use concealer to cover up your spots,i dont wear make up everyday, try washing as well (im not saying you dont lol) i used clean and clear wash scrub and my spots went within a week,it really does help if you dont wear make up everyday,my little sister is pale like you and she doesnt wear foundation everyday for school

  5. get a medicated foundation that does both - covers and helps clear spots =] you cant get diff kinds from boots etc. .

  6. It depends on what kind of foundation you're wearing, most can clog pores. Mineral makeups though don't cause breakouts. I haven't tried any drug store brands, but I've used bare minerals for 3 years with really great results. There is also everyday minerals that is supposed to have the same exact ingredients minus bismuth oxychloride which can irritate a few peoples skin plus it looks shiny. You can get a starter pack of bare minerals at bareminerals.com (the individual big containers at bareescentuals.com) or a free 5 piece sample kit from everydayminerals.com, you just pay shipping (mine was $3). Regular liquid and powder foundation always made me break out no matter what kind I used, even neutrogena.

  7. Hi if its you foundation that is bringing you out in spots then change your foudation as the problem wont go away no matter how much spot treatments you use.

I am allerigic to probaby every foundaiton going and all the medicated ones tend to burn my face and they dont help with the spots at all just make them worse.

So far all I have been using is a really good moisturiser and face wipes to remove my make up and I have switch to using a mineral powder foundation and my skin is so much better. I didnt go for a dear make of the mineral foundation as the liquid foundation I was using cost me quite a bit and I needed something in a hurry so I just nipped to the supermarket and got collection 2000 perfecting minerals powder, and its great, and stay put all day its fantastic, and the more you use of it the better it covers. and it doesnt make my skin break out my skin is improving.

I also use nivea face wipes in the dry and sensitive skin range which also helps with uneven skin tone and spots well it doesnt for me anyways.

So I would stop using everything you are using at the moment and change foundations to something light, and as soon as you get in take all make up off and try and go at least 1 day if you can with no make up at all.

  8. Hi, I always have wore foundation since I was in my early teens and I don't think good quality foundations cause spots on your skin, I think its just bad luck.

I use maybelline mousse foundation and it is so light but gives really good coverage for blemishes, i used to put concealer and powder on too but felt a litle caked so just use the mousse and a little concealer for any bad spots.

Remember spots always look 100% bigger and angrier to you than to everyone else, and make sure you take off your make up b4 bed!

I have used the spot treatment u mention i thought it worked well but i only used it at night on clear skin never over make up.

Best way i find to cover spots is light covering of foundation that closely matches ur skin tone (don't use foundation to chnge the colour of ur skin, use bronzer for this). Dot concealor on blemishes(Rimel have a good one thats green and white i think its called cover and heal something like that?) then dust a little face powder over ur shiny areas. Then highlight cheekbones with blusher or bronzer to make ur skin less pale!

    Hope this helps

  9. seriously for like a few dollars more buy almay foundation/coverup/powder

i keep saying this but seriously it saved my skin soo much.

theres like acne-clearing foundation which doesnt dry your skin at all if you use moisturizer ,. it just made the breakouts go away for me!

  10. If your using a liquid foundation try a powder one.

  11. use an oil free foundation, matte foundation has no oil is, like matte mouse, and to keep it on all day, i use matte mouse and then a powder on top so it sticks to the mouse!, That works with priddy much any foundation, but if your woried about spots stick to oil free oness :) x

  12. do you mean spots as in pimples? if you do i recommend getting a treatment that you can put on at night or even just use your spot gel at night. if you do put your foundation on after the spot gel the foundation will get into the gel and maybe even cause it to not work (if it does)

also don't be worried if you have pale skin and think that you need foundation on because the makeup can also cause pimples, not hide them!!

  13. Sorry but spots are part of adolescents. I had to deal with a blemished face when I was a teen too. If you wear makeup daily, just be sure to wash your face at night. Its the best you can do.

  14. You need to make sure you wash your foundation off every night to let your skin breathe.

Buy a cleanser, toner and a moisturiser and use in morning and night.

You must moistorise because if you dry your skin out with strong cleansers then your skin will produce lots of oil to combat the dry skin - thats when you get spots.

  15. lay off the foundation a bit.

    FACE AND CLEANLINESS ROUTINE

Go to boots and go to their tea tree and witch hazel section. at the moment it is 2 products for £5. Get some day moisturiser, night moisturiser and an anti-spot wand. (i think they are all about £3.15 each) Use exfoliating face wash to wash your face (primarks we love fruit watermellon and pomegranite is good at £1) and then when you have done that apply the day moisturiser and the day end of the anti spot wand on the really really bad obvious spots. The day moisturiser also acts as a good matte base for make up. Then at night wash, your face, if you have been wearing make upuse cosmetic wipes i recomend johnsons as thy make my spots clear up, or if you can't get them, get some wth tea tree in them. then if you want exfoliate your face again, then apply the night moisturiser then use the night end of the wand on the obvious spots.

This routine may seem a lot of work but it will get rid of your spots.

    MAKE UP

As i said lay off the foundation or a while. Use the tea tree and witch hazel moisturiser and as you don't like foundation try tinted moisturiser boots natural collection is £1.99. Then ue concealer on your spots but use an anti spot one like Miss sporty so clear £2.49 from superdrug or superdrug tea tree concealer £2.99. Miss Sporty concealer is quite thick so you may need to buy another softer cheap concealer like boots natural collection £1.99 to help rub it in. Then use Miss Sporty So clear powder to get a perfect finish. just don't forget to take all f the make up off at the end of the day.

    I hope this helped
