Hey,

i have a 3000 watt amp and a 3200 watt twin subs.....but the subs are only the bass and i have no midrange or higher frequency notes....so basically i need a 6x9 speaker but they only go up to like 800watts...would it survive the power from the subs/amp??

Cheers

  1. yeah just get some componant 6x9s and amp them with a passive crossover and all you will get is the mid bass and high frequecies it will sound really good. hope you have a 2 farad cap and true 0 awg ground and power

  2. first of all, is that rms or peak?

never look at peak power lol.

would be more helpful if you had taken the time to make a good first post with the acual equipment been used.

and seems like you want to connect everything to just one amp, that will not work unless its a 5 channel amp.

you will need an amp dedicated to low frequencys only *for subs*, and one amp dedicated to mid-range and high frequencys for the other speakers.

if you want good sound quality, go with some 6.5 inch components, MB Quart makes some of the best.

and yes, to ur last question, the speakers will blow because you want to throw low frequencys only to the speakers which are not ment to handle. subs are the ones that handle low frequencys.
