  1. The gap between 14 and 16 seems kind of big to me.  He just might be physically better than you.

I don't know how much help it will be, but watch Larry Holmes fight Kenny Norton, rounds 2-9, and you'll see what probably was the single best exhibition of jabbing seen in the ring.  Big Lar' could throw different types of jabs as well.

One technique i used to help establish a jab was to use it as a "stop-hit" punch.  Meaning your opponent goes for a move and you hit him before he hits you, thus stopping his in his tracks.  Go to a high guard, giving your lab the least distance to travel.  Then you wait until you see something in your opponent that tells you he's about to punch.  Then just jab right at his face.  If you time it, you hit him the very moment he goes for a punch.  Don't worry about hitting his gloves, just hit something.  Overuse that technique, and you'll get yourself hurt, so be mindful not to become predictable.   Your opponent will feint you out of position and set you up for a big cross.  Video tape your next session and let us see how it works.

  2. talk to your trainer about this and ask him for advice.

it is likely that being older he is taller and therefore you may be punching out of range and need to get closer to use your jab. also you may not be extending your arm completely. Best thing to do is talk to your trainer and ask him how you can improve your jab. Then once you start to get it better practice it at least 100 times a day. your jab will be your most important punch in boxing and therefore need to be strong.

  3. If You Gets The 1, 2 Can Weeze Works On Da 3, 4.  Thanks Ya
