Need Help With audiobooks and Ipod?

I own an ipod shuffle 2nd generation. My problem is that whenever i try adding an audiobook (.m4b) in my ipod with itunes, it tries syncing it butjust as the syncing is about to finish it freezes. Ultimately i have to pull out the ipod. I tried restoring the ipod but it doesnt work. Adding mp3 files creates no problem......

Try renaming the .m4b to .m4a

That'll put it in your music library (which shouldn't make much difference if you're on a shuffle) and it might be able to sync then.

Otherwise there's sometimes an option if you right click or check somewhere in the settings to convert it to a different format.
