Need Help installing Ubuntu to separate windows Partition.

I have windows Vista Home Premium and I used the partition manager to make a separate 24GB partition for Ubuntu. Now I go through the Ubuntu install and I don't know whats wrong. It tells me that a root directory or something was not selected and I cant get passed this stage.
