Need Help repairing my 52" Hitchi rear projection TV?

a friend gave me a 52" Hitachi TV. It worked fine until we moved it. Now it tried to power on when you press the button, The red light comes on briefly and then it shuts off.

If this set is a newer dlp model, I would see if the lamp burned out. If this is an older crt rear projection, then you probably have a loose connection on one of the circuitry components or maybe even a cracked pcb if the set was handled too roughly. very common with moving. If you are trying to repair it yourself, I would check for bad solder connections on the power supply regulator ic, the vertical output ic and look around the high voltage transformer and associated circuitry for bad connections or cracked pcb. The hv transformer is the heaviest object on the board and if there is a crack, that is where it would probably be. good luck
