  1. well some of the thimgs you will need to have shown on your website are:

    A NAME OF THE WEBSITE,

    AN INDEX,

    BOYS/GIRLS SECTION,

    THE CLOTHING PRICES,

AND A CONTACT PHONE NUMBER OR AN E-MAIL ADDRESS

but they are only some of the things you will need to put on it.

    hope that helps ya

  2. okay, when you say "about us home page thing"..the "about us" page and the "home page" are two different things.  Your home page should not be about you - it should be about CLOTHES and what you're selling. Make sure the first thing they see are your clothes and you've developed a branding strategy...the personality of your website shines through and is worked into everywhere..including your "about us" page. The "about us" page is only for people who want to know more about your company - to see if it's reputable, trust worthy, etc.  Your writing style should reflect your brand.  If you're selling casual clothes - don't write a tight stiffed about us page.  Like someone else said, check out other similar websites (check out the competition) and see what they wrote.  Give your "about us" page personality, make yourself trustworthy and honest so people won't be afraid to spend money on your website (100% guarantee are always nice) - and make yourself likeable so people are more encouraged to buy.  The best way to learn is to read others - look at which ones are best - don't make your sound like a machine try and be creative.  For instance - if you're real casual you can say "we're just a bunch of guys that want you to look great" if you're selling office clothes to executives you want to say "Our team is made up of clothing industry experts with 100 years combined experience..."

But put in Who you are, why you're doing this for them, and why they should trust you and why they should buy from you.  In friendly, but not arrogant terms.

And there's nothing illegal about reading other people's information and rewriting it in your own words.

Oh ya, and the average website visitor decides in two seconds whether they are going to stay on a website or click out. Your home page has two seconds to make an impression so make it good and make sure it loads quickly. If they have to wait - they'll click out.

  3. The 'about us' section of a website should be exactly that - something about you and why you have the expertise to be selling clothing.  Something that would make a person comfortable to be buying from you.  Perhaps you design your own clothes, have won awards, etc.  These are things that are generally in an 'about us' section.  Since you're just starting, don't put in the date you started, but how people can get in touch with you if they have any questions, etc.

Check out the same pages on websites that sell similar to yours and see what they have included.  This will give you some idea of what to put in yours.  The home page should have a link to the 'about us' page and other pages such as shipping information, frequently asked questions (FAQ), privacy policy, etc.
