  1. For light polishing, use a foam waffle pad with 3M finessing compound. Use at a slow speed because the compound gets hot and will stick in clumps on the car. And it can clog the pad. So keep the buffer R.P.M. around 1200.

  2. well i always use my hand... unless your really wanting to strip the paint... used it like wax wipe it on and wipe it off.. you buff it with a buffer your are getting ready to repaint.. think soft  and use your hand

  3. A wool buffing pad is the best for using with a rubbing compound to start with then go back over it with the finesse polish with a foam pad to take out the swirl marks.Use it sparingly and only buff in a 12" x 12" area anything more than that and it will clump up and burn the paint, keep the foam pad flat against the surface of the car.Don't stay in one area to long. At first apply a firm pressure on the pad, when the finesse polish starts to dissipate lighten up on the pad until you have a clean polished area then move on to the next area and so forth until done.
