Ok, I was wondering if this setup would sound good in a 2000 Mustang. (Also, if you can do this and the Sound Quailty actually be clear.)

Reciever- Panasonic CQ-500u

Door Speakers- Memphis Pr572 Powered by Jensen 425 Watt Amp, 2 Channel.

Subwoofer- Kicker L5 15inch Square powered by a Boss 850 watt Mono Channel Amp.

Would the sub hit pretty hard while the door speakers are actually clear?

  1. It might sound good to you...but to tell you the truth....everything you mentioned is the bottom of the barrel in car audio...the only decent thing mentioned is the kicker L5...always remember..when it comes to electronics...you usually get what you paid for...But hey...you might be happy with it...I personally wouldnt waste my time on any of that equipment except maybe the L5.

First off,if you want good sound quality...it starts with a good head unit...dump the panasonic and get a low end Alpine. If you cant afford Alpine, the even a pioneer would be better.

Boss just plain out suck...I will say they have improved slightly since the 90's....but jensen is a joke.I guarantee that you wont get 425 watts...they are way overrated(so is Boss)...Look at the amps and see what the RMS or continous power rating is...thats closer to what you will get.425watts and 850 watts on the boss is most likely the amps PEAK or MAX power...those values dont mean anything in car audio...always go by the RMS rating.Try to stick with amps that are CEA-2006 compliant...then you will at leats know your getting what the amp tell you...Good luck
