  1. http://www.coasttocoastam.com/

Good place to start. They cover all manner of strange things and creatures. They also have an overnight radio show that's very interesting if you're having trouble falling asleep.

  2. get a boook from the libary bout em

  3. Check Crytozoology! I found books about that at a library.

  4. Tell me which mythical creatures and I'll give you all the information I have

  5. What kind of creatures?  From what myths are you looking?  Specific culture, time period, story type (creation, sun, ocean, animal, natural events, war, etc.) These things would be helpful.

Edit: Alright, pick a culture, any culture.  Ancient Greece, medieval Europe, Aztec, any culture and time line.  Look up the myths and legends of that time and place.  Once you get the stories, use them to find the creatures.

Example, the story of Oedipus, we have the Spinx.  That is one story about the Spinx, but she also lived in Hades for many a year, the Harpies were afraid of her, she loved a poet and braved the river Styx to get him back.

That is just some of the Spinx's story, but it only took one story to find the creature.  The Greek stories are often interwoven, so I would start with them.

Also read Jorge Luis Borges.  Several of his stories deal with mythical creatures, lands, and/or situations.
