Need Kaohsiung information for my Taiwan travel!?

Question

I’m going to Taiwan with my friends in September, and we need some advises for our Kaohsiung travel. We would like to see the night market and other fun places in Kaohsiung, please also tell me about the transportation, as how to get to the attractions?

Kaohsiung is a tropical city so it is still hot in September, remember to bring proper clothes. The metro system in Kaohsiung is rapid and well connecting to main shopping areas and tourist spots. The most famous night market in Kaohsiung, Liouhe Night Market, is right by metro R10 station, and you may take city bus red 27 or take a walk to the night market. The free bus service on every Thursday and free tourist buses on every weekend, this service will last till 15 September. The routes of free tourist buses include 6 different destinations, such as Love River, Lotus Pond, and sea view in Cijin and Sizih bay.

I think you may go to Urban Spotlight(R9), Kaohsiung Arena(R14), and Liouhe Night Market(R10). The High Speed Rail will lead you to Zouying(R16), and it takes less than 1 hour to arrive Kaohsiung from Taipei, if you are bound to both cities or other places in between, I think it is the most convenient way. Sea view in Kaohsiung is also a feature, you may visit Kaohsiung Harbor and enjoy sea food in Cijin, and the ferry trip to Cijin is fun.
