Need Some Interview Advice

Question

A friend and I are conducting an interview. We need advice like what to ask and what not to ask, etc. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you live in the US, there are lots of questions that you cannot ask.  At a high level, you can only ask questions directly related to the person's ability to do a job.  Don't raise anything to do w/ a protected class -- age, race, s*x, religion, etc.  Also, don't ask about someone's commute, what languages they speak (unless those languages are necessary for the job), etc.  These questions might be challenged to be not directly related to the job.
