Need To Find Some Generic miniatures for a game?

Me and a friend of mine are creating a game that uses miniatures, and I would like to use some generic policeman/ solider/ everyday man looking pieces for the players. I have looked through the Heroclix galleries, but would like to find some that are a little less cartoony. Anyone know what games and or websites I could go to to find some?

Well, they don't have the policeman or everyday man pieces you want, but a big ole bag of plastic army men might do the trick. You can get on eBay and buy a couple hundred for ten bucks.

So it may not exactly be what you are looking for, but at least they are cheap.

The site lists miniatures for pulp era wargames. Most represent people from the 1920's and 1930's, but the assortment is huge.
