Need Window Screen Help !

Long story short, I had to cut a screen at my own house to get back in. Now the screen is ruined and I need to replace/fix it, the problem is it's a small sliding window and it seems hard to remove it at all possible. its about 3 feet wide and maybe 1 and a half feet tall and the screen itself is between the boarders of the inner and outer window (if that description helps at all :/)

Please help!

  1. Usually one side of the screen is spring loaded.  Look for thumb grips near the edge of the screen.  If you have them then pull on them away from the window edge.  If you don't have them try to move it either left or right or up.  Many time screens do just not fit properly either because they we not correct from the begining or maybe someone made one later or maybe the frame has shifted.  Sometimes I have a new one made that is slightly smaller so that it can be remove more easily.  A window shop will be happy to help you if you take it in or you can have them make a visit to your home.

  2. a local hardware store will fix it 5 or  6 bucks in minutes they have the right tools if you watch its so easy next time you will do it yourself

  3. It depends on how its in the frame. There are usually plunger type pins thats would be in the side that pull out and you should pop it out, if not they should have a spring attached to the top.You would have to push up and pull out to remove. As far as replacing it a screen that size because its 3 ft wide would be around 21-24 is what we charge at the store i work at.Most local hardware stores should provide this service.GL
