I think you're best bet will be to buy a Visa Gift Card or something. That way he can go and buy whatever he likes. Sometimes it's very hard to guess what they might like. It will be a waste of your money if you buy something and he never uses it.

Best thing to do is just keep it simple. Get him something like aftershave or toiletries. Just explain to him that you weren't sure what to buy him so you just bought him that. I've bought a boy aftershave before and he loved it :D

Find out what his interests are. Then go accordingly to that. Luckily most of my male friends like sports, so I don't have this problem too often. I know that guys like video games and everything so find out of this guy has a video game that he has really wanted.

Buy accordingly. Ask his friends what he is into. That's the best way.
