Hey everybody- I'm a 20 year old college student/daycare worker, and I am looking to really expand my childcare business this summer. I work at a daycare full-time, but always off at 6, and never work weekends. I would like a really cute and creative name for a childcare business. It will only be children 4 years old and younger. So any good suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. Thank you in advance!

  1. How about Shining Stars, Kids of the Future, or Kids Discovery

  2. How about "In loving hands"

  3. tell me when you decide i would love to know!

    good luck!

  4. I was going to do the same but ended up not doing so. I was going to name my center, "Bright Beginnings" and base my premise on an educational jumpstart in a nurturing environment! GOOD LUCK!

  5. When you register your child care name, you will need a back up or two, because another child card/nursery may have the name, already.

    Some suggestions:

    Kiddie College

    Teddie Bear Day Dare

    Jack n Jill

  6. I have always wanted to open my own center.

Miss ......... (your name) home learning center, child care learning center,

A B C (or A Better Choice) that was what I would have named mine.

I saw allot of people had great ideas, some are already in existence so make sure you check that out.  Also, if you are a home center check you local zoning laws, home owners insurance and register with the state to get your license.

Your local department of human services will also pay you to take care of children of parents going to school or working who are low income.

Remember to do your research on getting reimbursed for things like feeding the children.

I know you were only looking for names but there are allot of things that go into owning a business.

    Good Luck

  9. People already gave you lots of good names so I won't go there -

You mention getting a name, but have you also checked into what you need to do if you need a license????  It sounds like you are going beyond the babysitting stage and you really need to check this aspect out -

What if a child gets hurt?

How many children at what age groups can you have, etc?

I'm just saying make sure you do a complete information gathering phase for this next step of your business

You want to prevent a child getting hurt and you want to protect your financial well-being.

Best wishes on this new adventure!

  16. I dont no of any creative name , but you have to check to make sure that no one else will be using the name you want .

  17. First you have to check with the Secretary of State or whatever agency in you state incorporates businesses to make sure that a name is available.  Most times your attorney, if you are using one, does this as well as the incorporation for you.  Then pick a name that tells what you do, but isn't too "cutesy."  Some of it depends on whether you are planning an in-home child care or an out of home child care center.  Parents seem to want something with "Early Learning Center" or Child Care Learning Center somewhere in the name of centers because they think children learn more.  It's not indicative all the time of what you actually do in your child care business, but it conveys a message that it's not "just babysitting," which none of us do, but it's still a perception many people hold.  Some states limit what a n in-home child care can be called, but I would still incorporate to protect my personal assets.

Think about what is important to you and you'll find a name that differentiates you from others and yet tells what is important to you for the child care business.
