My family, me, hub, 11 & 4 year old girls, will be in Coeur d'Alene May 16-19 for a soccer tournament. They don't last all day, so I thought we could drive up to Canada and see what there is to see.

We can use these highways:

395, 25, 31 or 95.

It's about a 2 hour drive there, so is there anything to do or see across the border. It is really just to say we crossed the border and throw a few tourist dollars at Canada.

Thanks!

  1. UM, no there is nothing to see in Canada. Save your money.

Like the person said, just a bunch of hillbillies throwing beer bottles off our dog sleds. Do you even HAVE a dogsled??

    No???

How the heck do you plan to get around??

OK OK so I'm only kidding. I live Near Calgary, Alberta.

You guys are just south of Alberta. Let me look at a Map and see how far East you are...I'm not sure if you drive straight north if you will be right in the heart of the Rockie Mountains

or if you will be too far east to make it a day trip.

Ok well, I took a look at Coeur D'alene on a map and saw that if you drove straight north on highway 95, that will Actually bring you into British Columbia...right in the heart of the rocky moutains....I believe this area is called the Kootenay Rockies of British Columbia.

A small town right near the border is called Creston

Also, better check with border services or other similar organizations to see what ID  you need to get into Canada, and more importantly, BACK into the USA. They are changing  the regulations.
