Need a donation site for needy friend due to loss of job and heart condition- bills piling up- can anyone help

First of all, if a non profit account is not set up then any money recieved can be considered income.  What happens next is that any state or federal assistance that your friend might have been eligble for will consider this money as assets.  (I learned this while on the waiting list for an organ transplant.)
