Need a end of year thank-you gift for 2nd grade teacher, switching over to PE teacher in the fall.?

I want to buy a gift for my daughter's teacher for doing an OUTSTANDING job. She is switching over to teach PE in the fall and I'm sure a gift in that area would be nice. We have given homemade goodies, gift certificates, and will definately write a nice card to go with this one...but need an inexpensive idea for a new PE teacher. Any ideas?

I love the idea of a whistle.  A gift certificate to a sporting goods shop her work wardrobe is changing drastically would probably be welcome, too.  Could you find a work bag with sports equipment on it?  It might be available at one of those soccer mom type stores.

My son gave our PE teacher a whistle.  A nice one like the officials use...She loved it.
