We're going to a cook-out this weekend and I want to make a 7 layer salad but can't find my fave recipe. Does anyone have a good one to share?

  1. I make this one all the time for parties and stuff- real easy and very refreshing.

    layer in large glass bowl:

    one head chopped lettuce

chopped green peppers- about 2 large ones

    one bag shredded carrots

    chopped celery

    chopped red onion- one med/large

    one bag thawed frozen peas

    shredded cheddar cheese

dressing- mix 2 cups miracle whip (or generic salad dressing) with about 1-2 tablespoons of sugar- spread onto cheese layer

then top with one pkg Real Bacon Pieces- or your own chopped cooked bacon

  2. I layer chopped lettuce, frozen peas, crumbled cooked bacon, shredded cheese, hard boiled egg and then my dressing.  I use a dressing that is made with mayo, vinegar and sugar ....but I know some that use only mayo on the top.

  3. Is this it?

  4. Layer Shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, scallions, red onions, cucumbers, shredded carrots and diced yellow bell peppers in a clear class bowl.

I would not use bacon..many people have diet restrictions nowadays.

    Seven-Layer Salad~

1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas, thawed

    10 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese

    1 cup chopped cauliflower

    1 1/4 cups mayonnaise

    2 tablespoons white sugar

    2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    DIRECTIONS

Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Crumble and set aside.

In a large flat bowl, place the chopped lettuce and top with a layer of onion, peas, shredded cheese, cauliflower and bacon.

Prepare the dressing by whisking together the mayonnaise, sugar and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle over salad and refrigerate until chilled.

Serves 12(you can adjust the recipe for more or less on the website I linked below)
