I'm a trumpet student who's looking to take up flugel horn on the side, but can't decide what to buy. My budget is tight, so used will be the way to go. I'm currently shopping around on eBay looking for a nice cheap horn, preferably under 350 bucks.
Can anyone suggest a good brand of horn, and where I might find a used one? I'd only play on occasion and not professionally, but I would like something that has a nice sound.
Two brands I'm currently looking at are Selmer (which I've heard bad things about) and Blessing. Can anyone advise on these?
