Question:

Need a good natural laxative solution ( One that really loosens ) Delicate problem..hopefully not TMI!?

I've got back from a trip to North Africa and got the runs, then took imodium ( Plenty of..lol ).

Now I'm the other way ( Constipated ) I have a slight fissure in my behind so really need laxative fix that liquifies ( excuse the expression! ) lol.

Any experience of a good fix will be welcome, desperate and quite scared of another painful experience! The runs is better than this!

  1. I have found when I get the runs from being out of the country, I take enemas for a few days, maybe 4 or 5 days to clean out all the toxins you may have eaten along the way, after that my body seems to work much better, I don't use the store bought one I use a bag so the water gets higher into the colon and washes things out better, try it I think you will get good results.

  4. senakot is great.  All it does is absorb water, greating a more maliable stool.  It's good, natural and effective over a couple of days.

    Drink loads of water and eat soft fruit and foods.

    Another fix is to get **absolutely** bladdered on Guiness......

  5. I use Dulco Ease it's a stool sofener, if I run out of this,high dozes of  vitamin  "C". helps. If I am absolutely BLOCKED I use suppositories.

    I always eat a lot of vegetable  and this never seems to help, however I can forgo all of the above if I remember to eat two Activia yogurts  a day.

  6. I Use senna tablets before I go to bed.

    Then in the morning BUSSSHHHHH Your asss will explode.

  7. i would book an appointment to see a GP first to have this fissure sorted out, sounds as if you have been straining or forcing your motions, so sort the fissure out first

    for constipation well i eat

    cereals, yogurts grapes figs, dark leafed vegatables all are natural to loosen ones motions you intend to pass, okay but this fissure or tear needs correcting first, okay get well soon okay.

  8. I wouldn't use senna if I were you - it's a stimulant/irritant and is likely to cause cramps/diarrhea (it did with me!)

    Any of the other aforementioned cures are worth trying.

  10. Look for tea with SENNA LEAVES as ingredient. This is a natural laxative and helps soften the stool. Also, it lubricates the intestines so everything goes down fast! Enjoy!

  12. Prunes and/or liquorice and drink plenty of water.

  13. Pico de Gallo (hot sauce) made with Cilantro eaten with corn chips works for me. Use plenty of Cilantro.
